So the BB girls went to Hong Kong and Bali for a little work and a little play recently. After what was quite a relaxing Festive Season there is nothing like throwing yourself into a bit of hard work to start off the new year. You can see why these girls love their jobs.
The hustle and bustle of Hong Kong is a huge contrast to Perth so its a good place to get into the mood for work and work they did, it was an action packed week for HK Fashion week but they did manage to make a bit of time to squeeze in an authentic HK Yum Cha!
High Tea at the Hotel however was pretty special too!
With a very short break in between, the girls then jetted off to Bali to meet with some of the local Artisans there and catch up with the kids at the orphanage BB assists. (not to mention feed some very hungry – or at the very least greedy koi)
Bali is just a different world. From the second you arrive there, you can feel the special power of the place and just walking from one meeting to another is quite a refreshing experience.
The kids at Yayasan Kesayang Ikang Papa Orphanage are GORGEOUS!!! All of them are hearing impaired so the people who run the place work very hard to make sure that the kids get the best out of life, as the likelihood that they will ever be adopted is very slim. The girls took some packages of toys, clothes, pencils, pens and other stuff that we at the BB office and other friends of BB donated.
The kids showed us their amazing art projects that they had been working on.
None of this would have been possible without the help of our wonderful friend Bagus who is a true gentleman and introduced us to the guys who run Yayasan Kesayang Ikang Papa Orphanage a few years back. Obviously these Cool Guys below put it on for the girls and the camera – way too cool for school!
The Kids also showed us the fruits of their sewing project which they all fell in love with! So BB helped out by paying for their sewing program for the rest of the year. The Kids made their own school uniforms which they were so proud of. If anyone is interested in donating or assisting the orphanage, contact us at the BB office.
On the way home from the orphanage, there was a quick stop to celebrate Australia day in a rather spiritual style. The Water Temple was an amazing experience and the girls were in Green and Gold in true Australian fashion.
Then it was time to go home. Cina was able to stay for the weekend to head down to Uluwatu to sort out her wedding there in July and was able to soak up a bit of the Bali sun.
Then back to the office.

The Amazing Mr Wolf.
In an amazing Tapas Bar in Hong Kong, we ate an amazing dinner, listened to an amazing Filipino Mariachi Duo and danced with our amazing friend Pete (Mr. Wolf) who knew every word to Guantanamera and sang along louder than the Mariachi band themselves. We had such a great night, gotta love him. Love you Mr Wolf.
