Sock It To Me…

This winter I’m going to ‘rock socks’ with the ankle wedge boots & woven cork heels from my AW ‘Blackbird’ collection. I know this takes a lot of bravery but I think I’m there after pondering over the following images. I had thoughts of being too old but blow that I’m going to do it & I’m hopefully going to sock it!!

I recommend ASOS http://www.asos.com/Women/Socks-Tights/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=7657

She Bangs…

I’m a fringe fan & have had one for as long as I can remember. I have a rather long narrow face so the fringe breaks it up & it possibly just maybe makes me look a little younger, so it’s a winner in my book! Here are a few ladies totally pulling off bangs!

Miss Cruz

Miss Moss

Miss Mara

Miss Byrne

Miss Schiffer

Miss Hudson

Miss Holmes

Miss Lake ‘boobs’ Bell

Miss Meester

Miss Richie

Miss Williams

& this blog wouldn’t be complete without treating yourself to this!!

She Bangs Ricky Martin

Don’t be scared ladies whether they are short or long bangs, whatever tickles your fancy ;-)

START BANGING!

Come on lets go. Pt.1

As some of you may know, The BB team has been on the other side of the country catching up with old pals and meeting some new friends. Amidst all the work there was a little fun that went on and in the very short time there, amazing food was eaten, coffee sipped and east coast eye candy ogled.

Melbourne was the first port of call. After a very humid welcome (our hair suffered terribly) we went straight to the hotel, dropped off our bags and immediately hit the streets. Like any sensible person we went to the most important place first… The vintage stores. We soon learned that shopping isn’t the best activity if you have a tight schedule, and had to run back to the hotel to get ready for our event when in typical Melbourne fashion, the heavens opened and we were drenched. Thankfully that was the craziest part of the trip. We did find a gem the following day for breakfast: Kotch Lane on Blessington street in St Kilda (Where Dave claims to have eaten the BEST Bircher Muesli ever made). A tiny little cafe that served the best coffee and heaps of cute dogs out front, which reminded us of our favourite cafe back home.

We all desperately needed the coffee in the morning after such a big first night, as this photo illustrates, Belle has never looked so relieved to put a coffee to her lips.

(unfortunately a pic of the worlds most amazing Bircher Muesli didn’t make the cut as it didn’t last long enough for it to be photographed)

After that the Team had to rush back to collect our things before we headed up to Sydney.

Dinner was at Bodega in Surrey Hills. We were entertained by a gorgeous pair of friends sitting at the bar who were very much enjoying their bottle of wine and each others company.  In between courses of some great Tapas (especially the pulled beef buns) we also found ourselves looking at this handsome Bar-Man working a low v-neck tee and a killer hairstyle. The zoom on the camera didn’t work so well unfortunately, but still thought he was worth sharing.

Even in the dark you can see the cheeky grin on Dave as he was caught having a little peek at the Bar-Man.

At least there was more time in Sydney for the vintage stores where a gorgeous green dress was acquired for Belle along with a wicked pair of shoes.

The event was held the next night where we met some great people, drank lots of Champagne and partied into the wee hours on a Wednesday night. After the event Cina and Dave found themselves drinking a Tom Collins whilst sitting at a grand piano satisfied with all that was accomplished. Belle on the other hand was sensible and went back to her hotel room for the night.

Before we knew it we had to say goodbye to Sydney and head back to Perth. Although we had lots of fun it was so good to be home.

More pics of the Events will feature in Come on lets go pt 2.

Ding-a-ling-a-ling. Let those Church Bells ring!!!

Well, its a Thursday morning and in the office that usually means we’re all a little tired from working hard all week, so we tend to get a little distracted by various websites and other internet content.

As you can imagine, our jaws dropped when we saw a picture from Nicole Richie’s wedding on Saturday. THAT DRESS! OMG. Speechless would be the word to describe us. (except Dave, who used all sorts of profanity when he saw it)

Breath Taking, Exquisite, Fairytale, Desirable, Pretty, Gorgeous, Sublime, Magnificent, Luxurious.

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE… we are in wedding dress love.

So, One of us here at the BB office has recently become betrothed to a certain Frenchman. We would like you over the coming months to send in pics of your favourite wedding dresses as inspiration for the bride to be. These pictures can be forwarded to info@bellebijouxaustralia.com and we will have a little monthly post of the pics you send us and get you to help us choose the feel that the bride should go for.

These are some of the potential themes for the wedding that the Bride to be has come up with: Beach, Garden, Tropical, Bohemian, Natural, Effortless, Grecian….

Cant wait to see what you think.
